Are you in Amarillo, Texas or the surrounding Panhandle and considering abortion?
If you are living in the Panhandle region of Texas and considering an abortion, you might not know who to talk to or what assistance is available. While there are no abortion providers in the region, there are providers and assistance organizations that can help you access abortion.
Need someone to talk to?
If you are unsure of your decision, or are sure of your decision but need someone to talk to about your decision, you can reach out to the All-Options national talkline at 1-888-493-0092. All-Options provides judgment-free support for people facing an unwanted pregnancy.
If you’ve decided on abortion, here are the best steps for seeking care:
1) If you are a teen and cannot tell your parents, contact Jane’s Due Process first.
2) Call and abortion provider for an appointment. Even if you need financial assistance, do this step first. Most providers will provide guidance on assistance programs.
Once you have an appointment, contact financial assistance organizations -- Texas Equal Access Fund for help paying for your procedure, Fund Texas Choice for helping with any long distance travel costs -- if you need assistance.
